What are the entry fees?
The full package entry fee for LIMBC 2011 is USD400.00 for international participant and RM150.00 for Malaysian riders. Both package with optional entry for MTB Jamboree 44KM on 23 October 2011. Malaysian riders wishing to enjoy the same benefits and arrangements offered in the full package entry fee are also eligible to purchase the USD400.00 package.

Why the difference in charges?
USD400.00 entitles the participant to the race registration entry fee, accommodation and full board meals for 7 days / 6 nights, and return transfer from the airport to hotel. RM150.00 for Malaysian riders is for the race registration entry fee ONLY.

Do I need to have a valid license to compete?
A valid license is required and compulsory for every rider to produce in order to participate in LIMBC 2011. All participants must produce their original license during registration on 17th October 2011.  Malaysian riders without a valid license wishing to participate MUST purchase a temporary license issued by MNCF at RM15.00 which is valid for the entire race period only. MNCF is the Malaysian National Cycling Federation.

If I have entered and paid, but can’t ride any longer for whatever reason… can I ask for a refund?
No Refunds, No exceptions. No Substitutions.

When do pre-entries close?
16th September 2011. No late entries will be entertained.

Are entries limited?
Yes, up to 1,000 riders.

When and where do I collect my race number / register?
At the LIMBC Official Race Village – Registration center in Kuah Town, Langkawi from 0800 – 1600 hours on 17th October 2010 (Actual exact location will be announced in our website and newsletter).

What are the start times of the races?
All races are scheduled to start daily at 9.00am. However, the organization of LIMBC reserves the right to change race schedules subject to weather conditions or any other unavoidable circumstances.

Will there be prize money for the winners?
Yes. Please refer to the Prizes column of the website. Cash prize money is in US Dollars for all categories.

Other prizes or lucky draws?
There will be daily lucky draws after each stage race finish and a main Lucky Draw event after the Jamboree Ride event held on the 23rd October 2011.

How do we register for the race?
Register at www.mtbmalaysia.com by completing the online registration process with secure online payment method (using a valid VISA or MasterCard). You may also download the PDF registration form manually and send in the completed registration form together with your proof of payment through fax number +60392221786 or scan email to info@mtbmalaysia.com. All instructions are stated in the Registration column of the website.

When does registration start?
Registration starts 2nd March 2011.

What is the weather and climate like in October?
Temperature rarely fluctuates throughout the year. Warm and humid, with temperatures ranging from 25c to 30c. Expect rain to occur during October.

How do we get to Langkawi?
Langkawi has an international-status airport, with daily flights from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). There are also flights from Penang to Langkawi, Singapore to Langkawi and vice-versa. Flights are available with Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Silk Air. Ferry services are also available to and from Penang, Kuala Perlis and Kuala Kedah. Also from Satun, Thailand. Ferry terminal is located at Jetty Point, Kuah town.

Passport?
Valid passport is a must for entry and they should be valid for a period of at least six months.
Visas are not required if you are a citizen of Commonwealth countries (except India and Sri Lanka), most European countries, United States, Japan, South Korea, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, North Yemen, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Turkey, provided your stay does not exceed three months.
If you are a citizen of the Republic of China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cuba, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, North Korea, Nepal, Myanmar, Taiwan and Vietnam, you must obtain a visa before entering Malaysia. You can get the visa from Malaysian Diplomatic Missions abroad or British Consulates which act for Malaysia in countries where no diplomatic representation of Malaysia is established.
